FORTUITY AND FATE – MYSTICISM IN CONCEPT
Ausgebildet zum Gestaltungstechnischen Assistenten arbeitete ich ab 2000 als Medien- und 3D Designer in Köln. Ab 2012 unterstützte ich den Kunstbuchverlag TASCHEN als Technical Supporter. 2023 begann die Arbeit an CABINET ART Projekten. Und Damit kam ein Treibenlassen – der FLOW.
Mit einem retrospektiven Portfolio ließ ich von bis dato computerisierter Kreation und Präzision ab und erlaubte mir das experimentell Händische, in das die digitalen Passionen nur noch synergetisch einflossen. Kern meiner Arbeiten ist die Manifestation des Virtuellen.
Als Objektemacher finde ich Erfüllung im Schaffensprozess, nicht im Objekt als Ziel. Dieses ist vielmehr Resultat. Natürlich macht es mir Freude, wenn es Betrachter inspiriert ... und jeder Verkauf schenkt mir eine Weile, in der ich das Harmoniepotenzial aller Dinge und Ereignisse wahrnehmen darf.
Ich lasse den leicht zu übersehenden, vermeintlich zufälligen Verbindungen Zeit und Raum. Erste Formen levitieren an ihren Platz. Lähmenden Perfektionismus entmachte ich durch Hingabe. So stellt sich ein unbemühter Fokus ein.
Das Ungeplante, Ungezwungene, Unbeherrschte ist mein Glück. Denn es ermöglicht den menschenmöglichst reinen Blick auf die Quelle aller Ideen.
As a state-certified Design Assistant, I worked as a media- and 3D-designer in Cologne from 2000 onward. From 2012 I supported the art book publisher TASCHEN as a technical supporter. In 2023 I began working on CABINET ART projects – and with it came a sense of drifting, of FLOW.
With a retrospective view of my portfolio, I moved away from the computer-based creation and precision that had defined my work until then and allowed myself to embrace experimental, hands-on work, into which my digital passions now flow only synergistically. The core of my work is the manifestation of the virtual.
As an object maker, I find bliss in the creative process. Not in the object as a goal. This is rather a result. Yet it brings me joy when it inspires audience, and each sale grants me a while to perceive the harmony potential in all things and events:
I give time and space to the easily overlooked, seemingly coincidental connections. First forms levitate into place. Paralyzing perfectionism I disempower through devotion. This allows an effortless focus to emerge.
The unplanned, unforced, untamed is my fulfillment. For it allows the most humanly possible pure view of the source of all ideas.
